Luncheon with EU MEPs (with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and European Parliament in ASEAN)

This luncheon aims to bring together Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) particularly from the International Trade Committee (INTA), and the Delegation for Relations with Southeast Asia (DASE), as well as other key political groups like the EPP, ECR, and S&D. It seeks to foster dialogue on the critical role of trade, investment, and regulatory alignment in strengthening EU-ASEAN relations in a time of geopolitical flux, while also ensuring European businesses have a platform to directly engage with MEPs who wield significant legislative influence.

MEPs play a pivotal role in shaping trade policies, including those with extraterritorial implications that impact ASEAN markets. It is hoped that this luncheon will help inform European lawmakers of the realities of operating in ASEAN, as well as provide an opportunity to discuss issues around sustainability and market access, all to foster a more favourable business environment for European private sector.
